Like it says in the subject line; who's your favorite JoJo? :D

Is their part also your favorite part? Do you wish they'd made appearances elsewhere or are you happy with what we've got? Feel free to shout out any favorite non-JoJo Joestars (in-laws included!) in the comments too!

(Be careful; there might be spoilers in the comments.)

I can't choose between my 3 favorites, so I'll explain why I love each of them.

SPOILERS BELOW FOR: DIAMOND IS UNBREAKABLE, STONE OCEAN AND STEEL BALL RUN

.
Josuke
I love how he is such a good boy, while having that side of doing anything to get some money. I also love his friendship with Okuyasu, his relationship with Joseph (I cried a few times) and the way he uses his stand.

Jolyne
Oh, Jolyne! I've heard some people criticize the development of this character, and I just don't see it. She was neglected by Jotaro when she was a child and she tried everything to get his attention, getting into trouble because of it. She had an awful relationship with her boyfriend, and did everything for him even if it meant helping him hide a corpse. Eventually, she decided she didn't want to be dependent on men like that anymore, and hated her ex for what he did. She also rejected Anasui all the time, and I love her for that too. Apart from this, I also love that even if she was so angry at her dad, when he said something good about her it meant the world for her. I can relate to that so much because I also have a tense relationship with my dad and I understand her perfectly well. Also, I think her stand is awesome, too.

Johnny
For me, Johnny is the most complex Jojo so far. He had a really rough childhood, so you might pity him for that, but then he was also such an asshole and that was the reason why he had the accident. It's repeated throughout SBR that he could kill someone if required with no hesitation, while Gyro is different. I believe his relationship with Gyro helps him greatly, since they both learn from the other and become stronger because they save each other countless times apart from saving themselves. Johnny learns to give up on his dreams to save someone he loves (and I'm not even trying to talk about shipping stuff, which I could... the canon relationship is that of mentorship between Gyro and Johnny!) and in the end has to make such a hard choice between doing what he wants and what's better for everyone.

Johnny giving up the parts to save Gyro at the end of the Sugar Mountain arc, and Johnny deciding what to do with Valentine when he offers him to 'bring back' Gyro :(

Re-posted because I think it went to the wrong thread.

It's interesting that no one voted Jotaro. I know he's really not popular in America as opposed to in Japan and I thought he was a weak Jojo, but damn. I do appreciate that Josuke, Joseph, and Jonathon are highly popular though, since I like those three quite a bit (Old!Seph, Polnareff, and Iggy pretty much carried Stardust Crusaders).

Can't really vote Giorno even though I loved Vento Aureo since frankly all the characters I liked in there are the side characters and "villains" (kind of hard to classify La Squadra as pure villians for spoiler reasons), but damn they were well written and fascinating (Diamond is Unbreakable was pretty strong in this actually, too). Giorno himself though is only slightly more interesting than Jotaro thanks to being the son of both Dio and Jonathon, really.

I voted Johnny though personally because, as someone else said, he's the most complicated Jojo. I'd say, but again, the other person kind of nailed it.

Edit: nvm, I guess this is where it was supposed to end up? It really looks like it's part of someone else's thread here.

Maybe the few folks in this club appreciate good old fashioned good guys with the constitution to deal withstand the bullshit of their sociopathic brother until the time to act?

Actually now just kind of happy that this little group is all well and active. Was hoping so when I got recommended to check out Dreamwidth.
