I got into the fandom at a time when there weren't really decent scanlations for Part 4 so I stopped reading and never did manage to get back into the manga Part 4 and beyond until the anime came out.

Right now I'm reading the equivalent chapters for every Part 5 episode right before/after I watch it and like you said, I think the anime does a better job of establishing La Squadra as a parallel to Buccellati's gang. Definitely did a better job imo of driving home how horrified the rest of the group was at Sorbet and Gelato's fate.

And ohh, that sounds really fun re: reading as you watch! That's making me think maybe we could have posts laying out the anime/manga differences? 🤔 I already look that up anyway so I'd be up for making that if no one else is but think it's a good idea.. could potentially add some community value..?
