I really liked the finale!! The change in the opening was so good, I definitely didn't expect to have Giorno take it back (that's a first) but I guess it makes sense since he already won the previous episode. I think the Vento conclusion is very weird, but that's what makes it interesting and fresh to me. Understandably I guess though, I've seen people super confused by it, often not in a good way haha...

I really love the epilogue, although I feel like somehow I didn't get as much from it in the anime. I think I connected it more in the manga to Buccellati's Final Words that he said in the sky (in the finale, not in episode 37) about how they're free now. It made me take the "sleeping slaves" commentary in the epilogue to be about how the gang weren't just slaves To Fate, but also by themselves in blindly following whatever the boss tells them to do. So in defying Diavolo and saving Trish, they become free. In the anime I felt more like it was about being bound to die... I'm not sure if that's just me though. (I also haven't read the manga ending in over a year..)

Either way, it was fun to watch!

ALSO, I wanted to say thanks to the mod for running the Jojo discussion every week!! I realize there's not a lot of activity yet but it's been great being able to come see what everyone has to say, and to dump my thoughts a little. THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORK!! 👏👏
