Buccellati Cookies

Hopefully this kind of content goes here! My friends and I just caught up on the anime (eps 19-21) last Saturday, and one of them had the brilliant idea of making buccellati cookies (Bruno's namesake) for it! Instead of decorating with regular sprinkles though, they made the pattern match Bruno's suit. Image below:

We used the recipe here in case anyone is interested. They're REALLY tasty.

Given the general food-theming going on in Part 5, I feel like it'd be fun to make things for other characters too, but cookies are one of the easiest things to leave out and snack on indefinitely as you watch. That being said, I'm thinking about getting oranges for later episodes. :-)

I may, uh, have bought antipasto fixings because the food themed naming was getting to me. Thank you for the recipe link - when I was reading about them they sounded pretty tasty, and now that I have a tested recipe I will have to give them a go at some point.

OHH THAT LOOKS SO APPETIZING!! Gah.. maybe we should do something like that for the finale.. hearing those names over and over just makes you hungry!! (Risotto still hasn't had his battle yet.. that's also a good lunchtime idea!)

And I'm happy to share the recipe / hype someone else wants to try them-- I'd love to hear how they turn out >:^)

The tomatoes were way out of season and kind of bland, but otherwise it was v. tasty - I still have the prosciutto and half the mozzarella left, along with a bunch of basil, so I may pick up some pizza dough or something. WE WILL SEE.

I will let you know! If nothing else I will make some before my next convention, as my cosplay partner is working on Bruno right now.

:DD I'm looking forward to hearing all about it!! Maybe you could post cosplay pics here too ;-) I actually don't remember seeing any Buccellati cosplayers.. sad because he's hands down my part 5 fave. (Maybe even my fave in all of Jojo TBH..........)

I will make sure to do so! We saw a few at Katsucon last month - there was a lot of JoJo's in general, which we were surprised by. She's got a wig test for Bruno, and I have a makeup test for shitty goth dad because while I also love Bruno, someone's gotta be the bad cop to Bruno's weird cop (okay and I also love Leone, tbh)

She messaged me last night with 'I just spent $30 on zippers' and I was like 'sounds about right'

OHHH, GREAT WORK SO FAR!! Last time I went to an anime con (last year) I was also surprised by the amount of Jojo I saw.. I gotta say though they're often my favorite cosplays to see because the amount of personal interpretation that can go into them? Since especially with the unanimated parts, there's no canon colors yet and there's variety to the outfits because of the covers and stuff.. it makes more fun IMO to see how people approach it.

Thank you! And yeah, agreed - Araki's designs get pretty wild sometimes so it's interesting to see how people make them into something vaguely wearable. Doubly so for people who do Stand cosplay because those tend to be extra-crazy - I'd like to do Moody Blues eventually, because I love the retro-futuristic look it's got and I wanna do crazy things with electronics, but it's definitely going to take some planning to do.
