IT LOOKS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!! I was really, really, really hoping they'd go back to the 3D style for Stone Ocean (feels more book end-y) so I'm sooooooo happy to see they did. I like that it combines that old aesthetic with a very new pop/funk aesthetic with all the bright colors, kind of like in Crazy Bizarre Town. It's probably going to take me a while to get used to the female singing TBH, but it's not bad!!!
AND AGAIN: IT LOOKS GREAT!! TBH A lot of the previews we've gotten look a little awkwardly animated. I've retained faith regardless but seeing this OP makes me much more optimistic about the upcoming season.
I AM SO HYPE it looks so good, and apparently the artist who sings it has been a huge jojos fan for like a decade now? So between that and Jolyne's seiyuu also being a huge fan, it's just very cool to see.
Something that just occurred to me now; I wonder if the 2D style for Josuke and Giorno was because they were born out of wedlock to the Joestar family 🤔 (Or it could just be that they want back to the 3D style to really cement the "Stand Proud" callbacks they inserted here and I'm overthinking.)
I THINK IT MAKES SENSE!! I mean in any case they're not really part of the direct line. I was kind of hoping that was why it was 2D before actually, which gave me hope for 3D Stone Ocean. My fear was that they'd just preferred 2D and were switching forever... but clearly not, so!!
